To create a new category in Joomla, follow these steps:
1. Access the Joomla administration panel.
2. Navigate to the "Articles" section and select "Categories" from the main menu.
3. Click on "New" to create a new category.
4. Enter the category name and optionally a description.
5. Configure advanced category options, such as aliases, metadata, and display settings.
